Rain that has become acidic due to air pollution Normal rain is slightly acidic (pH 5.6) Acid rain has a pH between 4.2-4.4 It's like having lemon juice fall from the sky!
How Does Acid Rain Form?

Acid Rain Experiment
Materials: 2 pennies, vinegar, water, 2 cups Step 1: Put one penny in water, one in vinegar Step 2: Wait 10 minutes and observe Step 3: Compare the pennies - what happened?
How Can We Prevent Acid Rain?
Use cleaner energy sources like solar and wind power Drive less and use public transportation Support laws that limit pollution from factories Plant more trees to help clean the air
