Roots grow underground They anchor the plant in soil Roots drink water for the plant Like straws that suck up nutrients
Stems: The Plant's Highway
Stems hold the plant upright They carry water from roots to leaves Stems support leaves and flowers Like the plant's backbone
Leaves: The Plant's Kitchen
Leaves are green and flat They catch sunlight like solar panels Leaves make food for the plant They also help the plant breathe
Flowers: The Plant's Babies
Flowers are colorful and pretty They make seeds for new plants Bees and butterflies visit flowers Seeds grow into new plants
