Public Goods and Services
Things that are shared by everyone in our community! The government or city provides them for all of us to use

Examples of Public Goods and Services
Parks and playgrounds for everyone to enjoy Schools where all children can learn Fire trucks that help keep us safe Street lights that help us see at night

Private Goods and Services
Things that belong to one person or family! We pay money to buy them or use them

Examples of Private Goods and Services
Toys that you buy and keep at home Haircuts at the salon Food you buy at the grocery store Movies you watch at the theater
