Find the Hour Hand
Look at the clock Point to the short, thick hand This is the hour hand!
Reading Time on the Hour
When the minute hand points to 12 The hour hand tells us the hour We say 'o'clock'
What Time Is It?
Look at this clock Where is the hour hand pointing? Where is the minute hand pointing?
What is Half Past?
Half means one part of two equal parts Half past means 30 minutes after the hour The minute hand points to 6
