Duckling Adventure Comprehension

Child helping a lost duckling by a pond

📖 Read the Story

The Lost Duckling

Sam was walking by the pond when he heard a soft "peep, peep, peep." A tiny yellow duckling was all alone near the water. The little duck looked scared and lost.

"Where is your mum?" Sam asked gently. He looked around but could not see any other ducks.

Sam sat down quietly and waited. Soon he heard "Quack! Quack!" from across the pond. It was Mother Duck! She was looking for her baby too.

"Come on, little one," Sam whispered. He slowly walked towards Mother Duck. The tiny duckling followed behind him, peeping happily.

When Mother Duck saw her baby, she flapped her wings with joy. The duckling ran to his mum and snuggled close. Sam smiled as he watched the happy family swim away together.
