Plan your adventure
1.Choose a starting place for your story.
- A food bank where the tins have been sorted into a secret code
- A rocket travelling through a galaxy of giant shapes
- A castle whose clock has stopped at the wrong time
- A train station where fraction tickets unlock the gates
2.Invent your main character. Write their name and two or three words that describe them.
3.What maths challenge gets in the way of your character's goal? Include a specific calculation, pattern or puzzle.
4.Jot down one sentence for each part of your plot: what happens at the start, what problem develops in the middle, and how it is resolved at the end.

5.Write a complete story of about 150–200 words. Bring the setting to life with descriptive details, show your character solving a clear maths problem, and explain how the solution helps. Give your story a title.
