Setting O'Clock Times

At a bush regeneration day, the team uses clocks to keep activities on time. Remember: at an o’clock time, the long minute hand points to 12 and the short hour hand points to the hour number.

Read the clocks

Look at each clock and write the time in words.

1.Zach checks the first clock before the team begins planting. What time is it?

2.Kirra checks the second clock at the water break. Write the time in words.

3.Hamish sees the third clock when the team finishes for the day. Write this time using a number and the words ‘o’clock’.

Set the clocks

Draw both hands on each clock face. The minute hand is the long hand.

4.The team starts at 8 o’clock. Draw the hour hand and minute hand to show 8 o’clock.

5.At 12 o’clock, the team pauses to celebrate a full morning of work. Draw both hands to show 12 o’clock.

6.It is 4 o’clock when Kirra checks the time. Draw both hands on the clock to show 4 o’clock.
