Spotty Octopus Narrative Worksheet

Read the story first. Then answer the questions and make up a new sea-creature character.

The Spotty Octopus

One sunny morning, Ollie the octopus woke in his rocky cave. His eight arms were covered in yellow spots. He loved showing them to his sea friends. Ollie swam to the coral garden. A little green turtle was tangled in a piece of seaweed. “I can help!” said Ollie. He gently used two arms to lift the seaweed while his other arms held the coral still. Soon the turtle was free. “Thank you, Ollie!” said the turtle. Ollie felt proud. He and the turtle swam home together, sharing a happy day beneath the waves.
