The Hawks win possession near the sideline. Zach has the ball, and two defenders are closing in. Jai is free in the centre and calls, “Here!” Zach looks up, then uses a controlled hand pass towards Jai’s chest. Jai watches the ball, reaches with both hands and secures it. A defender approaches, so Jai turns to face the open side and moves the ball on rather than holding it. When the other team wins possession, Bodhi tracks the nearest opponent, stays goal-side and gives them space without pushing or grabbing.
