What is a paragraph? A paragraph is a group of sentences about one main idea. It helps readers follow our writing more easily.

Example Paragraph:

Topic Sentence: Kiwi birds are unique animals found only in New Zealand.
Supporting Details: They cannot fly and have long beaks for finding insects. Kiwis are also nocturnal, which means they are active at night. Their feathers look more like fur than regular bird feathers.
Concluding Sentence: These special features make kiwi birds one of the most interesting birds in the world.
