📚 Answer Guide

Imagery: Descriptive language that appeals to our senses (sight, sound, smell, taste, touch). Example: "The volcano's fiery breath hissed and crackled."

Metaphor: Comparing two things by saying one IS the other. Example: "The sun is a golden coin in the sky."

Simile: Comparing two things using 'like' or 'as'. Example: "The lightning flashed like a silver snake."

Examples of Poetic Devices for Science Poetry:

• Alliteration: "Spinning, swirling solar systems"

• Onomatopoeia: "The volcano rumbled and roared"

• Personification: "The wind whispered secrets to the trees"

• Repetition: "Water flows, water falls, water calls to the sea"
