Learning About Adverbs

Read each question carefully. An adverbial phrase can tell how, when or where something happens. A because-clause can explain why something happens. Synonyms are words with similar meanings. Word bank: gigantic, tiny, delighted, frightened, dashed, murmured, dazzling, icy; distractors: enormous, cheerful, cold.

Adverbials that explain why
