Resilience Feedback Checklist

At the science museum, Evie and Mei are preparing analytical paragraphs about resilience for a student exhibit. Use the sample paragraph and tasks below to practise giving specific, respectful feedback and planning a revision. Resilience means responding to difficulty and finding ways to keep going; it does not mean never feeling upset.

Mei’s sample paragraph: “Evie shows resilience when the science museum’s earthquake simulator stops working just before her group’s demonstration. She feels embarrassed, but she listens to the technician’s explanation instead of giving up. Evie checks the loose cable, asks Mei to test the controls, and helps the group restart the display. This response shows that resilience involves adapting and working with others, not pretending that a problem is easy. Although the delay unsettles her, Evie turns the setback into a chance to learn.”

Use this checklist when reviewing a partner’s analytical paragraph. Tick each feature you can find, then write feedback that names a strength and gives one manageable next step.
