📐 How to Calculate Area

The area of a rectangle tells us how much space is inside it. To find the area, we multiply the length by the width.

Formula: Area = Length × Width

We measure area in square units, such as square centimetres (cm²) or square metres (m²).

Example 1: A rectangle is 8 cm long and 3 cm wide.
Area = 2 cm × 3 cm = 6 cm²

Example 2: A rectangle is 5 m long and 4 m wide.
Area = 5 m × 4 m = 20 m²
