L — Link: Connect back to the question or lead into your next idea.

🔍 Identify the Parts

Read the sample paragraph below, then answer the questions that follow.

"In The Outsiders, Ponyboy is shown to be a thoughtful and sensitive character. When he describes watching the sunset with Johnny, he says, 'It seemed like the sunset was just for us.' This moment reveals that Ponyboy finds meaning and beauty in the world around him, even in difficult circumstances. This sensitivity is central to his character throughout the novel, setting him apart from others in his group."
