Compass Directions Reference Poster

About this printable

This printable is a one-page reference poster that labels North, East, South and West (with coloured letter tiles), shows the 8 compass points with arrows, and includes a labelled compass diagram, step-by-step instructions for using a compass, helpful tips (including hemisphere notes) and a small example map with sample direction sentences. Use it as a visual support during introductory lessons on direction, map-reading and simple navigation or to accompany a practical compass activity outside. It is designed to be a quick reference for students and a display prompt for whole-class explanation.
