Food Chains Sorting Cards

This printable contains labelled, illustrated cards (dashed cut lines) including category headers (Producer, Primary/Secondary/Tertiary Consumer), a range of organisms (grass, rabbit, frog, hawk, shark, zooplankton, etc.), a decomposer card with a short description, and basic abiotic factor cards (sunlight, water, soil, air). Use it to teach or review the roles organisms play in food chains, to practise sorting vocabulary and to have students construct simple chains or basic food webs. The pictures reduce reading load but the activity requires some reading and teacher-led discussion around habitats and appropriate predator–prey links.
