Lesson Activities
1. Warm-Up (5 minutes)

- Introduction: Begin with a quick recap of the previous lesson on adding -s to make plural nouns. Ask students to provide examples.
- Engage: Write a few singular words on the board (e.g., bus, box, dish). Ask students to guess how to make them plural.
2. Instruction & Group Work (15 minutes)

Activity:
- Explain: Introduce the rule: Plural nouns are made by adding –es if the noun ends in s, z, x, sh, or ch.
- Group Task: Divide the class into 5 groups. Provide each group with flashcards of singular nouns ending in s, z, x, sh, or ch. Each group will brainstorm and write the plural form on a larger sheet, adding -es.
- Share: Groups share their lists with the class and discuss any common errors or questions.
3. Application & Group Work (10 minutes)

Activity:
- Activity: Provide each group with markers and chart paper. Each group selects 5 nouns from their list and creates a poster that visually explains and illustrates the rule of adding -es for plurals.

4. Presentation & Group Work (15 minutes)

- Present: Each group presents its poster to the class, explaining the rule and their examples.

- Worksheet: Hand out worksheets with sentences missing plural nouns. Students complete the sentences by adding -es to the provided singular nouns.
