Lesson Outline

Introduction (5 minutes)

• Greeting and Warm-up: Welcome the class and ask them if they have ever heard of "AI." Write "Artificial Intelligence" on the board and invite students to guess what it might mean.
• Simple Definition: Explain that AI means "machines that can think and learn just like people do." Break down the term into simple words: "Artificial" means "made by people," and "Intelligence" means "smart."

Video Presentation (5 minutes)

• Engaging Visual Introduction: Show a short, age-appropriate video that introduces AI, like a three-minute clip about a friendly robot. Ensure the content is simple, fun, and visually engaging.
• Reflection: Ask the students what they saw in the video. Highlight how the robot used AI to help people or solve problems.

Classroom Discussion (10 minutes)

• Real-life Examples with Flashcards: Present a series of flashcards with images of AI applications: a smartphone assistant, a smart speaker, a robot vacuum, and a recommendation feature in a video app.
• Interactive Questions: For each flashcard, ask students:
  • "Where might you see this?"
  • "What do you think it does?"
  • "How do you think it helps people?"

Group Activity (15 minutes)

• AI Artwork Creation: Split the class into small groups. Supply each group with chart paper and colored markers.
• Task: Ask them to draw a picture of an AI they might have at home or imagine one that can help them with their homework or chores.
