Lesson Overview

Students will explore the relationship between letters, words, and sentences by reading The Alphabet Tree by Leo Lionni. Using this story as inspiration, they will create a “Sentence Caterpillar” by writing one word per paper circle and linking the circles together to form a complete sentence. This hands-on activity encourages early sentence construction skills, vocabulary development, and collaborative learning.
