Students who are ready count by tens or hundreds from a given starting number.

  6. 52–60 min · Share and assess. Teacher revisits the closing review prompts and asks students to explain which principle helped them most. Students complete the final questions on the reflection and exit questions: “There are 8 counters in a cluster. How could you prove it?” and “What does the last counting number tell you?” Invite two or three students to share answers before collecting the sheets.
