Lesson Procedures

1. Introduction (7 minutes)

• Activate Prior Knowledge: Briefly recap what students know about Ivan from previous lessons in the unit. Ask: “What kind of character is Ivan at the beginning of the story?”
• Set Purpose: Explain today’s goal: “We are going to explore how Ivan changes as the story goes on. We’ll look closely at his thoughts, actions, and feelings to see his transformation.”
