Lesson Overview

In this first lesson of a five-lesson unit on "Mastering Agenda Creation," students will learn what an agenda is and why it is essential in professional and academic settings. They will identify and analyze the "Big 5" components of an effective agenda and differentiate between effective and ineffective agendas. This foundational knowledge will equip students with organizational and communication skills applicable across various disciplines and future career contexts.

Learning Objectives

• Define an agenda and explain its purpose in professional settings.
• Identify the "Big 5" components of an agenda: Date/Time, Location, Purpose, Topics/Items, and Time Allocations.
• Analyze examples of agendas to distinguish between effective and ineffective ones.
• Use clear and precise language to communicate organizational information.
