  1. Games • Newspaper Dance
  2. MOTIVATION change the motivation Listen to the song and recall the times when you have problems. Teacher asks the students to participate in the game.

Ask the students to write down or share their problems in class. Distribute different colors of papers with assigned symbols about problems. WHILE LISTENING

Questions • Have you encountered having problems or encountered things which you think you cannot do? • How did you face it? • Did someone help you to overcome how you felt? • Would it be nice if you trust yourself in dealing with problems? Teacher will play the song by Christina Aguillera “The Voice Within.”

Teacher asks students to write words/lines from the song that helped them trust themselves. POST LISTENING

  1. Activities • Go back to the game, Newspaper Dance • Performance Task Newspaper Dance (ask students how they manage to fit in to the size of the paper) Assignment Write a short letter to a friend who you think has lost self-confidence about the things s/he wants to do.

Checking of Attendance

  • Mark attendance as students arrive.

Greetings/Prayer

  • Greet the students warmly.

Pre-Listening

Game: Newspaper Dance

  • Objective: To establish trust among peers by supporting one another in a fun and engaging activity.
  • Instructions:
    1. Lay out sheets of newspaper on the floor, one for each pair of students.
    2. Students pair up, and each pair stands on a single sheet of newspaper.
    3. Play a short segment of upbeat music. When the music stops, each pair must fold their newspaper in half and continue standing on it. The process repeats until the newspaper can no longer be folded.
