The 10 times table

The 10 times table runs from 10 × 1 = 10 up to 10 × 12 = 120. It counts up in 10s, so every answer is a multiple of 10.

• The 10 times table counts up in 10s: 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, 70, 80, 90, 100, 110, 120.
• Skip counting in 10s is the same thing as the 10 times table — start at 10 and add 10 each time.
• Multiplication works in either order, so 10 × 8 gives the same answer as 8 × 10 = 80. Learning one fact gives you both.
• Every answer in the 10 times table is a multiple of 10, so each one divides exactly by 10 — for example 70 ÷ 10 = 7.
