The 12 times table

The 12 times table runs from 12 × 1 = 12 up to 12 × 12 = 144. It counts up in 12s, so every answer is a multiple of 12.

  • The 12 times table counts up in 12s: 12, 24, 36, 48, 60, 72, 84, 96, 108, 120, 132, 144.
  • Skip counting in 12s is the same thing as the 12 times table — start at 12 and add 12 each time.
  • Multiplication works in either order, so 12 × 8 gives the same answer as 8 × 12 = 96. Learning one fact gives you both.
  • Every answer in the 12 times table is a multiple of 12, so each one divides exactly by 12 — for example 84 ÷ 12 = 7.
