Author Purpose Checklist

This printable is a student-facing checklist that defines the three common author purposes (inform, persuade, entertain) and provides six success criteria for students to use when judging a text's purpose. Students tick checkboxes for criteria they observe, write a short conclusion with evidence, and collect peer and teacher feedback in provided boxes.
