About this printable

This sheet contains around 18–24 short sentence stems (e.g. 'I think that...', 'For example...', 'As a result...', 'However...') presented in two columns with simple icons and dotted cut lines. It is designed to be cut into individual strips so students can select prompts to help scaffold explanations, link ideas, give evidence and structure spoken or written answers.
