Maya's Science Fair Project

Maya was nervous about the science fair. She had worked for three weeks on her project about plants and sunlight. Her hypothesis was that plants need sunlight to grow healthy and strong.

For her experiment, Maya planted bean seeds in four different pots. She put two pots by the sunny window and two pots in the dark closet. She watered all the plants the same amount every day and measured their growth.

After two weeks, Maya's results were clear. The plants by the window grew tall and green. The plants in the closet were short and yellow. Maya felt confident presenting her findings to the judges. Her hard work had paid off, and she learned that her hypothesis was correct.
