📖 Part 2: Reading Practice Sentences

Instructions: Read each sentence aloud. Circle the silent-e words you find.

How to Help Your Child:

• Model first: Trace the word yourself while saying it aloud, then have your child copy you

• Use finger tracing: Have your child trace letters in sand, on your back, or in the air

• Say sounds together: Break words into sounds (/c/ /a/ /k/ /e/) then blend them

• Celebrate effort: Praise attempts and progress, not just perfect answers

• Take breaks: If your child gets frustrated, take a 2-minute movement break

For Dyslexic/Struggling Readers:

• Use colored pencils - one color for vowels, another for consonants

• Cover part of the worksheet to reduce visual overwhelm

• Read sentences together multiple times before independent reading

• Allow extra time and provide lots of encouragement

• Practice the same words over several days for retention
