The Lost Puppy

Maya was walking home from school when she heard a soft whimpering sound. Behind a bush, she found a small brown puppy with no collar. The puppy looked hungry and scared. Maya gently picked up the puppy and took it home. She gave it food and water while her mom helped her make "Found Puppy" posters. They hung the posters around the neighborhood. The next day, a worried family called. They had been looking everywhere for their puppy, Cocoa. When they came to pick up Cocoa, they thanked Maya for being so kind and caring.
