Read the Game Rules

Each team begins at Boston. On a turn, roll a six-sided die and move forward. Landing on an event space means reading its card and following the effect. To earn a History Star, answer the card’s question correctly. A wrong answer means the team misses its next turn. The first team to reach Yorktown wins—but teams must still answer a final question to claim victory. Event cards: • Tea protest (1773): Protesters dumped tea into Boston Harbor to oppose British taxes and control. • Lexington and Concord (1775): Fighting began between colonial militia and British troops in Massachusetts. • Declaration of Independence (1776): The Second Continental Congress adopted a statement explaining why the colonies declared independence. • Valley Forge (winter 1777–1778): The Continental Army endured a difficult winter, with shortages of food, clothing, and supplies. Training helped strengthen the army. • Yorktown (1781): American and French forces surrounded British troops. The British surrender there helped bring the war toward its end.
