Read the exhibit note

A trail camera recorded a solitary wolf near the edge of a snowy valley. The animal moved with deliberate steps, pausing to inspect the wind-bent grass. Though its body looked frail after a long winter, the wolf was resilient: it kept searching for food and shelter. A sudden gust sent powdery snow swirling across the trail. The wolf vanished into the trees, leaving only a line of tracks. Chloe called the tracks evidence of the animal’s route, while Brianna noted that one set of tracks could not verify how many wolves lived nearby.
