The 1 times table

The 1 times table runs from 1 × 1 = 1 up to 1 × 12 = 12. It counts up in 1s, so every answer is a multiple of 1.

• The 1 times table counts up in 1s: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12.
• Skip counting in 1s is the same thing as the 1 times table — start at 1 and add 1 each time.
• Multiplication works in either order, so 1 × 8 gives the same answer as 8 × 1 = 8. Learning one fact gives you both.
• Every answer in the 1 times table is a multiple of 1, so each one divides exactly by 1 — for example 7 ÷ 1 = 7.
