The 3 times table runs from 3 × 1 = 3 up to 3 × 12 = 36. It counts up in 3s, so every answer is a multiple of 3.

• The 3 times table counts up in 3s: 3, 6, 9, 12, 15, 18, 21, 24, 27, 30, 33, 36.
• Skip counting in 3s is the same thing as the 3 times table — start at 3 and add 3 each time.
• Multiplication works in either order, so 3 × 8 gives the same answer as 8 × 3 = 24. Learning one fact gives you both.
• Every answer in the 3 times table is a multiple of 3, so each one divides exactly by 3 — for example 21 ÷ 3 = 7.
