Adult guide for shared number play; adult setup and real materials required. Use 10 large counters, 2 dishes. Let the child choose an order of 1–5 counters and check an adult-made matching order. A complete counter route is printed on the page; owned Numicon shapes are optional. The child may point, move, show, talk or direct adult hands. Materials and setup: 10 large, child-appropriate counters; 2 dishes; clear separate tabletop or play surface; adult present to set up and facilitate. The adult/child illustration includes a speech bubble with generic strokes; it is not literally empty. Use two real dishes for the orders.
