About this printable

This A4 printable contains 15 clearly numbered, colour-coded sentence-stem cards (dashed cut lines) that prompt students to make inferences and cite evidence (examples: 'I infer that... because...', 'The evidence suggests...', 'Although it doesn't say, I think...'). Each card pairs a short stem with a simple icon to support meaning. Use them as scaffolds during guided reading, shared reading, writing tasks or discussion to encourage precise, evidence-based answers.
