This pack provides five coloured bookmark templates that guide students through different approaches to theme: Identify, Connect, Explore, Evaluate and Extend. Each bookmark includes short prompts and lined spaces for 'What is the theme?', 'Evidence', 'How is it shown?' (bulleted prompts) and 'So what?' to capture author intent. They are designed as portable scaffolds students can tuck into texts during reading, or use during annotation and planning tasks.
